Forum Rules

Listed below, you will find some guidelines for using the forum and other communication methods on this site. You can also find general rules for the site within the site terms page. Please respect these rules, and each other.

Be civil

No personal attacks. If you feel the need to flame someone, please do it in a private message. Do not feel compelled to defend your honor in public.

Stay on topic

Please pay attention to the content of your messages, and check that it relates to the topic of the forum to which you are posting. Off-topic discussion will be subject to removal.

Edit for corrections, not content

It is not appropriate to change the meaning of a past post. If this occurs, your edit rights will be removed.

No solicitation

Do not use any of the site communication mechanisms to solicit users for other products or services. Doing so will result in immediate removal from this site.

Report violations, not disagreements

If a user has violated a forum guideline, please use the post report feature. Please do not infer intent in your report to the moderator, stick to the facts.

Leave constructive comments

Do not post comments on images that serve no purpose, with the exception of congratulatory comments. If you have a constructive criticism for the image, please post facts or opinions with the intent to aid the photographer. Do not attack an image or a photographer using the public comment system. Doing this on home page wins may lead to total and immediate account removal.

Anonymous comments are not anonymous to the administration

The intent for anonymous comments is to yield a higher total number of comments by encouraging those who may feel uncomfortable speaking in public view to offer their ideas. These comments are recorded to the system with your account identifier attached. If you violate any of these rules, posting anonymously will not prevent the site administration from viewing the owner of the comments.
